IFEMA convenes the second edition of MATELEC INDUSTRY 2018, International Show of Solutions for the Industry and Smart Factory, that will take place next 13 to 16 November, in halls 2 and 4 of Feria de Madrid. The announcement comes place at a particularly propitious time for the industry, which, in a highly favourable new economic scenario, is progressing towards a digital environment 4.0. MATELEC INDUSTRY takes place alongside MATELEC, International Show of Solutions for the Electrical and Electronics Industry and the new MATELEC LIGHTING –Lighting and Illumination Sector-, to take advantage of common synergies, and with the rest of IFEMA’s shows devoted to construction, gathered together under the umbrella of ePower&Building (CONSTRUTEC, BIMEXPO, ARCHISTONE and VETECO).
Under the slogan “Transforming connectivity into industrial productivity”, MATELEC INDUSTRY places the emphasis on new technologies and innovation, to support the industry in its efforts to adapt production environments to the new digital industry.
In this context, MATELEC INDUSTRY 2018 faces the next edition with high expectations of exceeding the participation figures for its first edition, held in 2016, where 205 exhibiting companies and over 40,000 professionals participated directly (in this case, together with MATELEC). Specifically, IFEMA considers that MATELEC INDUSTRY and the fairs of ePower&Building will together boast 1,600 exhibiting companies –26% more than two years ago-, and more than 80,000 professional visitors from a hundred countries.
The companies exhibiting at MATELEC INDUSTRY will demonstrate their most innovative side, with their latest products, structuring their supply around five major areas: Automated (Automation in Processes, Industry and Energy); Digital Factory; Industrial Energy Control and Management Solutions; Industrial Electronics, Electrical and Telecommunications Installations.
In MATELEC INDUSTRY 2018, the manufacturers will shed light on the best solutions related to the new technologies, such as big data, loot, cyber security, collaborative robotics and 3D printing.
Furthermore, MATELEC INDUSTRY takes a leap forward in its external projection, joining the list of international Spanish trade fairs, according to the schedule approved for 2018, last 18 December, by the Secretary of State for Trade, attached to the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness. This distinction recognises the event’s efforts to position Spain and its companies on the international scene of the electrical, electronic and industrial sector; to boost the national market and promote international business opportunities. IN this regard, we note that, in the past edition, IFEMA made a significant investment in an International Buyers Programme, that brought to Madrid 900 professionals, from twenty countries, with high decision-making power and the potential to become future investors.
By becoming international, MATELEC INDUSTRY has a number of advantages for exhibiting companies, such as its inclusion in the official calendar of international ICEX, Spain Exports and Investments trade fairs, and in the plan to promote Spanish trade offices abroad, and the chance to access the aid programmes of autonomous regions and chambers of commerce.
On the other hand, the main associations of the different sectors represented in MATELECT are also represented in MATELEC INDUSTRY: ADEMI, Association of Employers, Assemblies, Maintenances and Industrial Services; ADIME, Association of Suppliers of Electrical Material; AECIM, Association of Employers of Metal Trade and Industry of Madrid; AFME, Association of Manufacturers of Electrical Material; AMETIC, Association of Companies of Electronics, Information Technologies and Telecommunications of Spain; AMEC-AMELEC, Multisectorial Association of Companies / Spanish Association of Manufacturers and Exporters of Electrical Apparatus, Cables and Material; AMITEL, Madrid Association of Industrial Installers of Telecommunications; ANFALUM, Spanish Association of Lighting Manufacturers; APIEM, Association of Professionals and Employers of Electrical and Telecommunication installations; AVAESEM, Valencia Association of Companies of the Energy Sector; FACEL, Spanish Association of Manufacturers of Electrical Conductors and Optic Fibre; FENIE, National Federation of Employers of Electrical Installations of Spain; FENITEL, National Federation of Telecommunications Installers; KNX Association, and SECARTYS, Spanish Association for Internationalization and Innovation of Spanish Companies in the Electronics, Computing and Telecommunications fields.
In order to support the exhibiting companies and promote maximum investment profitability, MATELEC INDUSTRY will again implement a number of measures to strengthen its programme of trade days; such as its B2B between supply and demand meetings agenda; the Professional Meeting Point, and newsletters and other information channels, among other trade tools.
Finally, MATELEC INDUSTRY opens the period for the preferential space option for companies registering before next 20 April on the Trade Fair website. The first allocation of exhibition space will take place at IFEMA facilities on 8 and 9 May.
